Volkswagen Commercial Scrappage Scheme
Save up to £3,000 on your new very commercial vehicle with the Government Scrappage Scheme.
In April 2009, the UK Government announced a scheme offering £2,000 off new vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tonnes, in exchange for scrapping their old ones. In the case of a new Crafter, Volkswagen is offering an additional £1,000, increasing the scrappage allowance to £3,000.
The scheme was launched on 18 May 2009 and will last until end February 2010, or sooner if the government funding has been used. It was announced on 28th September that funding is to be increased and will be available to scrap up to 400,000 vehicles, with £400m provided by Government and matched by support from vehicle manufacturers.
