Lee Handisyde is a familiar face to a number of our customers having worked at our Southgate, Hampstead and Berkley Square branches for over 20 Years.
Lee (39), joined Alan Day as one of the Valeting Team back in 1989 where his determined attitude to deliver excellent quality attracted the attention of the Management Team who recognized his potential.
Having been promoted to Service Advisor at our Gruneisen Rd Branch, Lee quickly established a reputation for delivering the highest level of Customer Service, amassing an unprecedented number of Customer 'Thank You' letters and cards during his tenure. This attention to detail once again attracted the attention of the Senior Management Team at Alan Day who offered Lee the opportunity to try his hand at Sales in Berkley Square Branch where he remained for over two years and continued to deliver excellent levels of service.
When this branch sadly closed, Lee decided that his first love was the service department and took on the job of reception manager at our Hampstead site, then in 2007 Lee was once again promoted to the position of Service Manager at our Hampstead site where he and his team have made a significant impact on the customer service levels for the whole site.
Paul Tanner recognizes Lee's success at Alan Day has come from the incredible high standards he sets himself and his team, Lee will not accept poor quality on any aspect of the customer experience and this his team know and acknowledge daily. One member of the team Hutch Steuerwald is following in Lee's very big foot steps receiving the highest number of VW Gold Star Service Awards possible. Lee also acknowledges the importance of a fiercely loyal customer database which Alan Day VW is very proud to have.
Lee knows to stay sharp he must also work hard on keeping fit, this he acknowledges is easier said than done, but he is endeavoring to mix his 11 hour day and a trip to the gym into his busy schedule, he is determined this is not going to be a post Christmas fad and has set a personal goal for 2010 to run a 10k for charity. We wish him luck.
